Thereby, we show that decoherence entailed by the substrate phonons affects the shot noise. For asymmetric coupling between the dots and the respective lead, the current noise is sub-Poissonian for resonant tunneling, but super-Poissonian in the vicinity of the resonances. Our results indicate that phonon emission and absorption is responsible for the shot noise enhancement. The observed asymmetry of the peaks at low temperatures stems from spontaneous emission.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v3", "updated": "2008-01-10T13:39:25.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "73.63.Kv", "72.70.+m", "73.23.Hk", "73.40.Gk" ], "keywords": [ "coupled quantum dots", "electron bunching", "shot noise enhancement", "substrate phonons affects", "low temperatures stems" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review B", "year": 2008, "month": "Jan", "volume": 77, "number": 3, "pages": "035409" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 4, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2008PhRvB..77c5409S" } } }
