We present different ways of rotating a single confined electron spin by optical coupling to a trion state. We also discuss a method for controlling the polarization of a confined exciton via a two-photon transition. Finally, we analyze the effect of phonon-induced decoherence on the fidelity of these optical spin control protocols.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2007-06-02T15:48:02.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "spin qubits", "optical control", "decoherence", "optical spin control protocols", "semiconductor quantum dots" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2007arXiv0706.0276M" } } }
